Excellent Second Meeting of Ragbags :)

Well done to those Ragbags who turned up today for our second meeting at Northallerton library. We welcome Cheryl to the group. She is a wonderful addition to Ragbags and her writing was fantastic.  Today's meeting was filled with laughter, humour and emotion and not to mention amazing writing.  At the end of today's meeting we sang HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY to Shirley who has turned 88. She is our granny-hen whom we all admire.  Everyone did some fantastic reading / writing. Benjamin wrote an impressive piece on sisterhood. Gillian wrote about making friends in different groups and how it doesn't always go to plan. Natalie and Melanie also wrote some excellent stuff. Lisa wrote some very thought-provoking stuff.  Well done everyone.  See you all in 2 weeks where our theme is DREAMING.  DION

Ragbags First Meeting

Dear Ragbags, Our first meeting on Saturday 24th was a huge success. Well done to each and everyone of you and especially to my amazing friend Dannish who has helped me set up the group. I'd also like to thank Martin from the library who has been fantastic and very supportive.  Our theme in 2 weeks is FRIENDSHIP... Remember you can write absolutely anything on the theme of Friendship, be it a poem, a short story, or a simple scribble. It doesn't have to be long or detailed. It could be short and sweet or long and emotive. That's entirely up to you. The options are limitless :) There should be a few more people coming to our next meeting so let's make them feel super welcome and comfortable :)  Once again - well done to you all.  Dion x
